The perfect weekend in Seville, Spain
As they say: « Quien no ha visto Sevilla, no ha visto maravilla » (translated Who has not seen Seville has not seen wonder). Seville, vibrant and colourful, is a real gem in Andalusia and the absolute destination for a perfect romantic week-end. You will discover a city full of charms, a rich cultural heritage and a fantastic gastronomy!
Where to sleep in Seville ?
There are many cute hotels in Seville, just make sure you book one in the Old town and enough in advance, as it gets quickly fully booked. Not inspired? Go to the Casa del Poeta for beautiful rooms, outstanding service and perfect location (everything is walking distance).
Where to eat in Seville ?
Our absolute favourite in Seville is definitely la Bartola (Calle San Jose 24, 41004). This restaurant is one of the reason why we love Seville so much! We have advised everyone we know to go there and they all came back delighted. Prices are not too high, products are fresh, wine is good and tapas are original. What else do you need ?

What to do in Seville?
There is plenty to do in Seville! You can stay there for 2 days up to 5 days without having seen everything. Here is a list of our must-see in the pearl of Andalusia.
See a flamenco show in a typical peña: typical rich costume, rhythmic movements accompanied by the guitar and the castanets: the promise of a magical and memorable evening! You will see several locations where to see flamenco, but we recommend the Pena Torres Macarena
Visit the Alcazar: a fortified palace, witness of all influences over the years, with a strong Islamic influence and a luxurious garden. Bonus for the Game of Thrones fans, the Alcazar is where Dorne, the dreamy place where Oberyn comes from, has been shot.
Visit the Cathedral and the Giralda, the pre-existing minaret, changed to the bell tower once the Cathedral was built by the Catholics.
Wander in the narrow streets of Seville: Colors everywhere in buildings, shops, flaps… the old town of Seville is timeless.
Visit la Plaza de España: the beauty of Seville: fountains, canals, gold plating, the Plaza is astonishing. Built for the Ibero-Americano Exhibition of 1929 as its masterpiece, the plaza took its influences in the rich cultural history of the city – which makes its uniqueness: Renaissance Revival and Moorish
Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza – built in 1749, the Plaza is a bullring which can host up to 12 000 spectators. No need to see a show to appreciate the arena and its spectacular architecture.
Check out the Metropol Parasol: a modern artistic curiosity that breaks with the old town Seville. Choose to go up and to have a view over the city!
Bike in Triana: You will find many places where to rent a bike and if it’s not too hot, you can cycle to the district of Triana, along the banks of Guadalquivir.
As you might have guessed while reading this article, we absolute love Seville and seriously cannot wait to go back. Very few other city in Europe are still as authentic and lively as the pearl of Andalusia.

We absolutely loved Seville!! I am absolutely obsessed with Giralda and it is the inspiration for a story I am writing. You have to check out the Aire spa. The wine bath is to die for.
